Social Media & Visitor Experience Course

A one-day masterclass for tourism operators and destinations. It introduces complementary social media and visitor journey frameworks to generate new business, create innovative ideas and turn past visitors into brand advocates.

The Social Media Framework 

1. Social media outreach to influence the purchasing decisions of potential visitors before they've left home.

2.Techniques to encourage visitor social media posting and sharing (free promotion) prior to and during their experience. 

3. Direct social media engagement with your visitors during or after their experience to facilitate referral business via their own peer networks. 

4. Selecting the best social media content from your visitors to recycle thorough to your own social media channels as customer endorsements.

The Customer Journey Framework

1. Create individual customer journey maps for your different visitor personas.

2. Use your individual customer journey maps to create innovative visitor experiences and align your social media communications and marketing.

3. Produce and publish different types of social media content based on the preferences of your various visitor personas , their visitor journey, and the platforms they are likely to be on, e.g. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube. 


We will draw on case studies and examples from Australia and across the globe. The Customer journey sessions allow you to scope a visitor persona and journey map for your own business. The social media sessions are live online demonstrations. These sessions are limited to 30 people – guaranteeing a tightly focused and effective learning format.
